You and Joe answered our questions and communicated with us each step of the way to closing. Also your follow-up calls & e-mails was appreciated. If we were to rate your customer service, it would be a TEN (from 1 to 10). Your were correct in saying that Veterans received many flyers from companies wanting our business to refinance with them. In fact, we received another one today. The flyers we received all said the same information but the reason we called you back was because you followed up with an e-mail telling us we the rates dropped. After this refi we will no longer be looking for a future refinance loan as we accomplished our goal: to lower our monthly payment (2.75% the lowest ever) & to leave the living spouse an affordable payment (when that should happen). My wife and I were both receiving Social Security, but our monthly expenses were beginning to exceed that income. I first heard of a reverse mortgage through the news and thought it may be an option. We needed to increase our monthly income in order to make our mortgage payments. I did have a lot of questions and once I started speaking to my loan officer my misconceptions were overcome. At that time I knew this was not a scam, but an option for my wife and I.

I felt like Richard was "on top of" my application at all times. He spoke with me about the progress of my application nearly every day, often discussing better options than the ones I had originally sought. He demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the home loan market, and a substantial network of business relationships that he could call upon to assure the expeditious handling of my application. All this was very important to me. I never questioned Richards honesty and integrity going into this process. I expected him to be truthful and to adhere to ethical business practices -- which he did. What I didn't expect was to be treated like I was Brightpaths only client. I know I wasn't, be he made things happen on my behalf. I never felt insecure about the status of my application, or concerned that it was languishing in someone's "incoming" basket.
